YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps provide a unique blend of wilderness adventure and traditional camp activities where campers unplug, explore nature, and build lifelong friendships. Located on Arbutus Lake for girls and Torch Lake for boys, the camps offer an inspiring outdoor setting for growth and discovery. Through the Pathways to Growth program, campers progress each year with age-appropriate challenges that build confidence, independence, and leadership. Wilderness adventures take campers across Northern Michigan, Southern Canada, and Alaska through activities like hiking, canoeing, biking, kayaking, and sailing. On camp property, campers enjoy a wide range of activities including sailing, archery, swimming, climbing, ropes courses, crafts, sports, campfires, and a specialized SCUBA program at Torch Lake. Supported by a dedicated staff from around the country and around the world, campers grow in confidence, character, and community while experiencing the transformative power of time outdoors.

Each year, campers from nearly 40 states and several countries around the world travel to join the Hayo-Went-Ha Camps community.
