Fall Fun in Northern Michigan: Bellaire Harvest Festival Highlights

27th Harvest Festival Saturday, September 27th, 2025| Downtown Bellaire, Broad St

As the leaves begin to turn and the crisp air rolls into Northern Michigan, there's no better way to celebrate the season than at the Bellaire Harvest Festival. Nestled in the heart of Antrim County, the charming village of Bellaire comes alive each September with festive energy, family-friendly activities, and the unmistakable magic of fall.

A Small-Town Celebration with Big Charm

Held annually in downtown Bellaire, the Harvest Festival is a beloved tradition that showcases the best of what this close-knit community has to offer. From morning to evening, the streets are filled with laughter, music, and the rich scent of autumn treats. Whether you're a local or just visiting, the festival offers a perfect snapshot of Northern Michigan’s seasonal spirit.

What to Expect

1. Scarecrow Contest:
Bellaire businesses and residents show off their creativity with a whimsical and competitive scarecrow decorating contest. Wander through town and vote for your favorite spooky (or silly) straw-stuffed creations.

2. Craft & Farm Market:
Dozens of local artisans and farmers set up booths along the streets, offering everything from handmade goods and seasonal décor to fresh produce and delicious baked goods.

3. Kid-Friendly Activities:
Families will love the lineup of children's events, including face painting, pumpkin painting, games, and more.

4. Live Music & Entertainment:
Local musicians fill the air with tunes throughout the day, adding to the lively and welcoming vibe. Sit back with a caramel apple sangria from Fireside Lounge and enjoy performances by talented regional acts.

5. Local Food & Craft Beer:
No Michigan festival is complete without great food. Enjoy seasonal favorites like apple cider donuts, chili, and caramel apples. Don’t forget to stop by Short’s Brewing Company, a Bellaire staple, for a pint of fall-inspired craft beer.

6. Shopping:
Stroll the streets and visit the locally owned retail shops like Uniquely North and Paddles & Pedals. It's the perfect place to pick up a unique souvenir or gift.

A Perfect Fall Getaway

Whether you're in town for the weekend or making a day trip, the Bellaire Harvest Festival is a cozy, fun-filled escape into the heart of autumn. It’s a celebration of community, creativity, and all the simple pleasures that come with fall in Michigan.

So grab a flannel, pack your camera, and make your way to Bellaire this September—you won’t want to miss it.
