As the leaves turn golden and the air grows crisp, Bellaire comes alive with everything we love about fall. Bellaire Harvest Escape is your invitation to slow down, savor the season, and experience northern Michigan at its most beautiful.

Spend your days sipping your way through local wine tasting tours, wandering apple orchards, and soaking in the vibrant colors that surround our town. Explore downtown Bellaire during the Harvest Festival, then turn up the energy at Shorts Brewing Company Rocktoberfest, where great beer, live music, and fall fun take center stage.

Whether you’re here for the flavors, the festivals, or the fresh air and scenic views, this Playcation is all about cozy moments, unforgettable experiences, and making the most of the season. Come escape to Bellaire—where fall isn’t just a season, it’s a celebration.

  • Enjoy a relaxed stroll through town, grab a drink and catch up with friends

  • Wind down with a sunset view or fireside moment back at your lodging


Transportation tip:  Bellaire does not usually have Uber or Lyft available.  Everything downtown is walking distance.  Shanty Creek Resort has a resort bus that will do trips downtown.  See Shanty Creek for their schedule (usually every hour until midnight).  Stonewaters Inn, Spillway Lodge, Grand Victorian, Park Street Inn are all within walking distance to downtown. Some airbnbs are within walking distance.  Downtown bars typically close by 11pm on Fridays.

  • Slow breakfast or coffee in town

  • Head out for apple orchard visits—pick apples, sip cider, and soak in peak fall scenery

  • play pickleball at ASI Community Center (open courts if no reservations - reservation schedule posted at courts - pay $5 per person at courts in box).  Bring your own paddles and balls - no rentals available.  However you could buy paddles and balls at either The Bellaire Hardware or Paddles & Pedals - both downtown Bellaire.

  • Take a peaceful walk, short hike, or scenic drive to enjoy the last moments of fall color
