Hello from Driftwood Pastures Co: Our First Farming Season in Bellaire

We’re Rich and Stephanie, a husband-and-wife team running a regenerative farm in Bellaire. This year, we made the exciting decision to put down roots here – we think there is something so special about the town, people and beautiful landscape that surrounds us!

This also marks the first season producing pasture-raised chicken for our local community. What started as a simple dream — to raise honest, healthy food the right way — has grown into something deeply meaningful to us as we build connections with this community and the land we’re farming.

What We Believe

At Driftwood Pastures Co. our meat is pasture-raised; non-GMO; hormone and antibiotic free. That means we don’t cut corners, and we focus on producing nutrient-dense, great tasting meat for our customers.  

Our chickens spend their days outdoors on fresh pasture, moving daily, soaking up sunshine, and foraging grass. This approach isn’t the fast or easy way — but we think it’s the right way. Better for the land, supports healthier animals, and produces food that genuinely tastes better.

How To Buy Our Local, Pasture-Raised Chicken

With winter on the horizon, our pasture-raised chicken season came to a close for 2025 but we will carry on selling our inventory through winter.

If you’ve been thinking about stocking up, now is the time. Once it’s gone, we won’t have fresh chicken until next Spring!

• Order online: we offer local Friday delivery (Bellaire, Alden, Rapid City, Kewadin, Eastport, Central Lake or Elk Rapids) or Friday pick up at the Bellaire Farmers Market.

• Shop in person: stop by our table at the indoor Bellaire Farmers Market on Fridays from 9am – 12pm (excluding November 28th).
