Water Trail Signage –
\Check it out! Thanks to generous funding from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, Charlevoix County Community Foundation, and Grand Traverse County Community Foundation we have completed the design and sited the signs for all 81 access sites.
Rotary Charities Grant – We were honored to receive a grant from Rotary Charities of Traverse City for $35,000 toward the water trail implementation. We appreciate this great support in creating a premier water trail in Northern Michigan.
Ripple Effect Mini-Grant Awards – We are pleased to announce Antrim County Emergency Management and Grass River Natural Area as our 2018 Winter awardees. Antrim County will purchase an 800 mHz radio that can be used during special events & trainings. Grass River will use funds to update interpretive exhibits in their Nature Center.
Aquatic Invasive Species – Want to protect our waters from Aquatic Invasive Species? We are partnering with Michigan Sea Grant and LIAA to train paddlers how to ID and report aquatic invasive species. Save July 29th to attend the training and watch for more information!
